I think we had an easy life with maroon now - TURQUOISE? now that IS scary!
I went to St Thomas More's.. don't reckon I'd have been able to burn my uniform - the fabric was so thick it would have just turned into a horrible blobby mess
mine was a short-sleeved 'raver' t-shirt with a hood i wore when i was 13. it was a orange, green and yellow aztec pattern.
for a few months i thought i looked cool.

for example: we had a 'faithfull' brother getting older and confused.
when something did not really went as he liked it (didn't get the answer etc) he shouted very loudly 'god doom me in the hell!
one time i had to do the closing prayer on the midweek meeting.
I went to the memorial service a couple of years back and 2 boys were determined to take the bread and wine. All everyone could hear was the sidesman (?) whispering very loudly "DON'T eat the bread." and "NO, don't drink that, pass it along." The boys proceeded to keep arguing about why not and the guy was saying "just don't" Not being a JW myself I didn't see anything wrong with smiling about it but everyone else was trying their hardest to look not amused by the whole thing.
I was very tempted to ask the sidesman what gave him the right to decide whether or not these kids had the heavenly hope or not!

Think my worst has to be my school uniform - maroon Crimplene jacket and skirt. The fabric was so thick and sweaty in summer. You'd get static electric shocks all the time and the worst thing - we had to wear these for the first 3 years of high school (11-14) when many girls are rapidly expanding - my parents couldn't afford another uniform and crimplene doesn't stretch much... nuff said...
what would you do if you knew someone had no respect for you and only associates with you coz they have to????
for months i couldnt understand why this particular person said things to me and acted a certain way to me and it only just hit me this weekend that this person actually just doesnt respect me, doesnt respect my feelings, my thoughts nothing.
and only associates with me coz she has to.
Es
I feel for you. I've got the same problem with one of my sisters. Its like she tries to get some sort of control over me by deliberately making me feel miserable - bullying by any other definition. I can't find a way to ask her why she does it because she would just turn that around on me by saying I'm imagining things or whatever and that would be another victory for her. I've decided to keep my distance from her even though that doesn't feel good either but I have the feeling that sometime soon she's gonna come unstuck because other people are beginning to realise what shes doing.
I hope it all works out the best way for you.
have been a fan of both.
but oasis cd is deeply disappointing...(i disagreed with critics on their recent releases..thought they were good).
coldplay i also disagreed about...thought their last one was not as good as the first.
I'm a fan of both too. Not got the latest Coldplay yet though cos I've heard the single and it sounds just the same as their previous stuff. Is the rest of the cd different?
there has to be a good reason to invite a zebra into the parlor.
what is the reason?
now, don't say, "i don't have a parlor", because that is dodging the question.
So you can cross safely from one side of the room to the other after the highways agency have opened the 8th lane of the M25 which now runs straight through the middle of your house.
my sister found this article in a local newspaper and gave it to me.
seems that a whole group ot j.w.
's entered his house without permission.
I was speaking with an elderly man before the weekend and he was telling me he was accosted in the street by a group of seven JWs - the poor guy thought he was about to be mugged because they'd surrounded him and wouldn't let him go on his way. I think 'street evangelism' might be something they're working on - in the UK at least - I've only seen it happening over the last couple of years where they stand in the town centres dishing out literature and stopping you in the streets.

england 179-8. australia 79 all out in 14 overs.
bring it on
I'm sure you'll tell us its just a little 'blip' but 2 balls into the match before the first wicket falls is rarely a good sign

Hi I'm totally new to the forum as well so I thought I'd jump into this thread and we can all introduce ourselves together! I'm not used to forum netiquette so I appologise if I mess up.
